Description

Art Women and Table of Two Cities are pleased to a screening of the Netflix documentary, City of Joy, hosted with Campfire Collaborative Spaces in Wong Chuk Hang in celebration of International Women's Day 2019.

City of Joy is a documentary about survivors of gender based violence in Democratic Republic of Congo, and the ways in which they have rebuilt their lives. As Art Women (a refugee arts & crafts collective in Hong Kong) was founded by women from DRC too, the narrative of survival and working through trauma to a brighter future will be showcased this International Women's Day.

What you can expect:
There will be a fireside chat with the founder of Art Women after the screening followed by a Q&A session. Light refreshments from the Democratic Republic of Congo will be available by small donation and products produced by the Art Women group will be available for purchase.
